Our Story

Camila, the Founder, was brought up as a STEM kid despite there being little to no formal and structured STEM education courses offered at that time. Given that her family were educators, she herself began giving tuition when she was aged 12. With her mother’s support, her early involvement in education evolved to become the basis of her current passion in education; her STEM mindset was stimulated at an early age with extensive exploration in areas of computer programming, engineering, baking, tailoring, board game, lifesaving, survivor skill etc.

She qualified in Charted Global Management Accounting (CGMA), and practised 20 years with senior position in multinational companies. She has never stopped in her pursuit of knowledge, having acquired: Certified Metaverse Expert, Certified Iot Specialist, Digital Circuits and basic Computer Hardware, Engineering is Elementary, Engineering Classroom certificates etc, as she believes learning is a lifelong process.

The STEM way of living & its mindset also led to the opening her first STEM centre in the year 2012. This was when her child was diagnosed with dyslexia, and she could not find a suitable centre that could help her child overcome his disability and realise his full potential. Sadly, many of the responses were heart-breaking; she was told to accept his limitations without question as there was nothing that could be done to help. It was at this time that she decided to take matters into her own hands and help her son by educating him herself.

Her son, Tan Shi Wei is living testimony of the effectiveness of a STEM education. Shi Wei is dyslexic and against all odds he passed his IGCSE O level with flying colours, 4A’s and 1C. Even more astounding is the fact that his preparation time was 2 months, and he sat for the exam 3 years early, that is at age 16 while in Year 9.

“I have outshined a normal child & have made the Impossible Possible”
